In collaboration with Gipping Construction, our Mammoth Art Competition aimed to find fantastic artwork to brighten up the scaffolding outside Ipswich Museum during the Museums’ #MammothMakeover. We asked you to submit your A4 drawings of our much-loved exhibits, Wool-I-Am or Rosie the Rhino, and we received so many brilliant responses from both individuals and schools! We were really impressed and delighted with the response which demonstrates the love for the museum and interest in its careful redevelopment.

Museum staff selected the first prize winners and the Highly commended were chosen by Gipping Construction staff, who sponsored the mammoth plush prizes for the highly commended winners.
The winning artworks have now been displayed on the hoarding outside the Museum and all the artists received a plush woolly mammoth. Some of the winners recently visited the Museum and were presented with their prizes by Nick Maslin, Gipping Construction’s Site Manager, and Peter Garwood, representing the Museum.
